{"id":808,"date":"2015-01-30T19:49:42","date_gmt":"2015-01-30T19:49:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jamiebrightmore.com\/?p=808"},"modified":"2017-11-12T10:05:49","modified_gmt":"2017-11-12T10:05:49","slug":"visual-effects-work-competition-film-alter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jamiebrightmore.com\/filmmaking\/visual-effects-work-competition-film-alter\/","title":{"rendered":"Visual Effects Work for Competition Film &#8216;Alter&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Some friends of mine asked me to be involved in\u00a0a short film they were making for the 2015 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reed.co.uk\/film\">Reed Short Film Competition<\/a>.\u00a0The competition theme was simply &#8216;The Question&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Mark Henderson and Thomas Brooks wrote a screenplay to be produced on a very small budget. The VFX included; some fire suppression gas, an animated computer screen user interface, and a few little tweaks here and there such as masking out light sources.<\/p>\n<p>I also did some location\u00a0photography, created the film&#8217;s identity, designed the poster, and typeset the end credits. It was especially nice to work alongside good friends, we had\u00a0a lot of fun.
